Re: Morgan's 2004 ranger
Why not get a jeep d44 and sas your truck?, you could make it 4x4 and drive daily. You could make it from prerunner streeter to a king of the hammers streeter.

im the same way.
why dont you treat it like a daily driver, put 33's on it, keep the stock fenders, and body lift it if you like. then be done.
im at the same point. im just dropping the cash, finishing my truck with the parts ive always dreamed of but held back on, and once its built its done. tweaking and maintenance from there forward, i want cash to go places with my gf and travel. the truck is just a toy with 15K too much invested.

You should definately get out if you think an UCA and spindle lift are expensive...prerunners arent for you.

Re: Morgan's 2004 ranger
So this may not be the proper way to get an answer but i think its probably the fastest lol... first i have a 98 2wd im replacing the coil springs on.... haynes manual says get a spring compressor....
iirc ive heard morgan or someone say in this or the prerunner thread that you dont need a spring compressor just jack up front end, support with stands on frame and jack up lca a little bit also(or at least have the jack under it) and remove the brakes, rotor, caliper, bearings, and disconnect lower ball joint to loosen the lca, and then lower the jack slowly that is under the lca to remove the old coil spring, correct?
Thanks in advance to anyone that can offer any pointers and advice with this.

Re: Morgan's 2004 ranger
so this begs the question... what next? 2nd gen 4runners are my favorite but they are out cause the 3.0 is the worst motor ever made by toyota. 3rd gens are more expensive but may fit my budget if i get what im asking or close to it. other considerations would be a cherokee, maybe a 4x4 ranger but probably not, possibly an f150, or a WRX if i can find one i like with low miles. anything else i should be considering fellas?
