Today I pulled the bed. I was shocked how easy it is on these Rangers. I timed it..7 Minutes! haha So I flipped my rear shackles today, I still want to flip the front ones, but I am going to c-notch it before I do that because I will do the axle flip and drop blocks that day too as well as clean up the frame.

I decided to weld the shackle mounts to my frame. I already had the welder out so..why not!? And again, this mod did not cost me a cent.

I am at this parts store almost everyday and I always park next to these Rangers. My XLT was the same height as the XLT 4wd on the right, now I a hair lower than the base model parts fetcher on the left. Still doing to dropped a ton more!

I could not stand the chrome wheels. I went on a black-attack. I can at least live with this look for now. I have not had a chance to work on the truck as I have been neglecting my more important project, my 1971 BSA chop "Romona." She is going to be getting attention over the next few weeks. Romona takes priority. Hope you guys dont mind if I throw some bike updates in here as well!

But then they will hit the underside of my bed lol. I know I will be cutting up the bed soon for the c-notch but I want to keep my bed floor as intact as possible. Im saving the pieces I cut out to weld them back in someday when the truck is bagged. I will raise the entire bed floor up. It will look stock, just not as deep. Got to be able to tow motorcycles if I buy another! Other than that, motorcycles dont belong in trucks or on trailors.
