Driveshaft has arrived and is now in my possession. Gonna go to Ford on Friday and order the little plate that goes in between the engine and transmission since it's cheap as shit. I've been over my lists three times now, and once I have that plate, there shouldn't be anything else that I need to buy for the actual swap.

However, I will also be ordering the 2003 wiring diagrams so that I can add the clutch pedal position switch to my truck. Technically that's part of the swap, but I want to have it done before I start on the swap just to make my life easier.

Where in the hell did you find that driveshaft?! Those things are about as rare as the full length console.

Waiting on the engine to transmission plate from Ford. Bought the brake fluid for the clutch master cylinder, and also bought new self adjuster kits and the brake spring kit so I can make sure my E-Brake is strong.

My 03 wiring diagrams came in, and I'm still in the process of working out where each wire goes and where I will be putting them. Once I get a solid game plan written I'll go ahead and wire in the clutch safety switch.

Maybe sometime this weekend I'll rebuild the rear brakes so I won't have to worry about that next week.

Hoping to get the 5-speed swap done next weekend.

Keep us updated as far as the swap, I know there's a hell of a lot that has to be done to do the swap id love to do that at some point, so be as descriptive as you feel like lol. I would appreciate it!

Bad ass truck by the way. Ive been drooling for the past 20 minutes reading all the past pages.

Swapping to a 5-speed can give you a stomach ulcer, especially if your truck has the PATS system. But it's definitely worth it.

I already have Saturday off from both jobs, and have requested Sunday off as well so I can have two uninterrupted days to get the 5-speed swap done. Plan on starting at 6am on Saturday, having most of the bulk work done by Saturday night, and then tying up loose ends most of Sunday, and then hopefully have it done Sunday night, so that I can go to work on Monday. lol.

Working out the clutch safety switch wiring as we speak, probably gonna wire that up tomorrow or Thursday.

I hope you can get this done in 2 days. I'm assuming you have someone to help you pull that old slush box out.
If you get a little frustrated, I give you permission to take a baseball bat to my white Ranger.
