lol, yea my auto is trashed now.
The tires are awesome. They did great yesterday in the sugar sand, which is where I was really worried about them.
I have about 3 or 4k on them now. They've been wearing pretty well for what they are.

I don't foresee myself ever having any issues with them as long as I just keep rotating them on schedule.

80K is a little wild, unless they do most of their driving in soft dirt/sand or snow. I might be able to understand it then.

Fixed. 4.0 is overrated. 302W is where it's at.

A 4.0 would be a great upgrade from the 3.0, but for the work it'd take, I'd rather go with a 5.0.

Re: Sticks-2003 Ranger Edge
Good points. I just figured the 4 would be easier. I would love to have a 5.0

The 4.0 requires a PCM swap, new transmission, and just about the same amount of parts that a 5.0 will.
The big deciding factor for me between the 4.0 and the 5.0 is the timing chains. If I were to swap a 4.0, there's no doubt I would have to replace the timing chain assemblies for peace of mind. I wouldn't have to mess with all that stringy garbage on a 5.0.

Your just lucky I didnt have the train horns hooked up at that moment.
Im in there pretty often towards the evening, I dont recall seeing your truck there though. One of my friends is Rob who does commercial for Advance, he works the Belleview store now.
Sorry to hear about your transmission, 5.0 will solve everything!

Sounds like you did some homework. I hate my timing chain. The 302 in my F150 runs like a champ, and the bottom end is a 1971

I pull about 25-30 hours a week there. I've worked there for close to a year now. I'm surprised you haven't seen me yet. I know Rob, he sends his gf into our store all the time for parts. lol.
And thanks. All will be well again once I get the 5-speed in.
