they were $60 each cheaper and had a 1 year so i got them. Really glad i did too.

If you worked behind the counter and saw how many Driveworks bearing assemblies were returned at just a single store in a week, you wouldn't be so glad. I worked at a store where NOBODY bought anything "good". They all wanted the cheapest option possible, and true to the common saying, they got what they paid for.

i'm glad i got driveworks cause well i wrecked it and i didn't have moogs go to waste

Gotcha.

When I had to replace my rack and pinion, I swapped my Moog inner tie-rods onto the new one and put the whatever brand inner tie-rods on the broken one right in the middle of the store.

Heck yea! That's why I refuse to buy new lower control arms. I bought new bushings, and will be refurbishing junkyard lower control arm frames and then pressing the new bushings and new Moog ball joints in those. I did the math and I'll save about $150 that way.

This is probably the last picture I'll take of the truck with lift spindles and my bastard packs. Can't wait to get this 4x4 stuff done.



In other news, just ordered two new axle seals.

Yep, spindles, and a bastard pack. 9 leaves per side.

I have cranked #1 Torsion Bars up front, so if I were to go back to stock springs, the truck would sit too low in the back. So I plan on going with 5-leaf bastard packs made mostly of the Explorer leaves, and the Ranger overloads since they were thicker IIRC.

And then body lift on top of all that. It should sit where it sits now, but this time it will have 4x4.

Ordered new CV Axles today.

Also ditched the 9 leaf bastard packs and went down to 5-leaf bastard packs. The truck rides 9 times better than it did before.

The new leaf packs consist of, from top to bottom, Ranger/Explorer/Explorer/Explorer/AAL/Overload. For now the truck leans in the back, but once I remove the spindles and swap in the stock 4x4 knuckles, I think the front will sit lower than the rear again.
