True. But this was back when I planned on doing the electric transfer case. I've been planning on doing the 4x4 swap for a long time. lol.

i'd love to find a wrecked twin stick lvl 2 and snag the transfer case, tcase shifter and transmission shifter off of it.

Rather than have the frame pulled, drill out the hole to where the bracket will work and add a weld washer. It'll be stronger than stock.

Crisis has been averted.
The frame brackets on the driver's side of the 4x4 trucks are what supports the large majority of the differential's weight, while the bracket on the passenger side is for the small amount of weight that is left, and for balance. The holes in the passenger side frame bracket are oblong, so they aren't really used to locate the axle except when it comes to height. I decided to simply elongate the holes further, and that worked like a charm. Axle is now in place like nothing ever happened.

Hopefully in a few weeks. Still need to get the CV axles and bearing assemblies. Oh and have that bracket welded on.
I REALLY want to get rid of this bastard leaf pack.

i wish i could find my white truck. Brand new hubs and cv axles. Although one was throwing grease.

I probably could have run the bearings and cv axles from the Sport Trac. But I really want new.

well new is always better. If i need new hubs on mine i'm spending the extra for MOOG or motorcraft. I got driveworks last time

I'm glad they stayed with the truck then. lol. I refuse to put Driveworks anything on my truck. When I rebuilt the front end, everything was Moog.
