New 8.8 w/4.56 gears and a locker. These 4.10's are just not working well with the 33's and the 5-speed.

My pinion seal went on my 8.8 and nearly ran dry, now my lsd is acting like a spool. And before than my lsd would ratchet and hook up like a locker I loved it. Dont mind me just rambling oh yeah you should like a locker lol

I'm hoping so. An SAS/4x4 swap is a long ways away still, so I'm hoping the locker will get me out of some sticky situations a little better than an open-diff will.

Haven't really updated this thread, but I haven't really done much with the truck besides drive it. But, truck does have an Explorer full length console now, and the front bumper now matches the rest of the truck.

I'm looking to upgrade to color matched 06+ mirrors, an 06+ front bumper, and finish the headlight mod. But don't hold your breath.

06+ Bumper will be nice, I've been keeping my eye out for one. Are you gonna put some fabric or leather to fill in the shifter area on the console?

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with the shifter. I don't like the boot that Redline offers for the original shifter. But at the same time, I don't care for the Hurst shifter either. I want to go with a leather boot, but I want to do something different with the shifter. I'll get it figured out eventually.

If you do go with an 06 bumper, are you gonna sell this one?

Doubtful. I wrecked the truck, and so the valance is all torn up. The actual bumper came from another forum member, and it's pretty tweaked itself.

to mod the corner light you just bake it, take it apart and paint the lense right?

Yea, it's just like the headlight mod. But how long you leave it in and possibly the temp is different. My 06+ corner is aftermarket, and was kind of a bitch to get apart. Then again my oven sucks. lol.
