LOL! I think that truck has been hit enough.
I have two friends coming over tomorrow, and another coming over on Sunday. So I'm definitely covered. I plan on getting the transmission swapped tomorrow, gutting the steering column and installing the manual stuff, getting the shifter installed, pull the seat and get the clutch switch wired in, switch out the shift selector for the blank plate, new ignition lock cylinder, and then hopefully install the wiring harness and maybe the computer. Then hopefully Sunday morning I'll bench bleed the master cylinder assembly, tie up the loose ends, and then test drive it by Sunday afternoon.

First off, for future reference, please dont jack someone else's build thread. Make one of your own, its pretty easy.
Second, a little searching goes a long way. Heres a thread for lifting. http://www.fordrangerforum.com/lifte...ur-ranger.html

Re: Sticks-2003 Ranger Edge
5-speed swap is about 75% completed. All of the automatic garbage is gone, and all the 5-speed stuff is in. Wiring harnesses are swapped, ECU is in, PATS module is in, drive-shaft is in, shifter is in, key lock and cover are in, shift indicator block off plate is installed, exhaust is back together, starter is re-installed.
Tomorrow I'll finish up the clutch safety switch, and then bench bleed and install the hydraulics. There's probably a few small things I'll need to wrap up as well, but I'm hoping to be done by noon, so if I have any issues I still have time to diagnose them.
On a side note, I realized that my rack and pinion is busted into two pieces. That was pretty cool. #offroadlife

Very Nice! Sounds like you're moving right along ... Have you started your truck yet?
How is your rack and pinion busted and still holding fluid? This is what happened to mine.

I haven't started it yet, that will have to wait until tomorrow.
The housing has a crack all the way around it, but it isn't split open too wide, and it's still bolted in place. It's nowhere near as bad as yours.

Re: Sticks-2003 Ranger Edge
Well truck is now a 5-speed. Took a little bit to get the clutch bled out, but it feels great now. Originally didn't have reverse lights, but I just had the connector backwards.
Truck drives great, but I've got to get used to daily driving it. I absolutely love it, and can't believe I didn't do it sooner.
Overall the swap went pretty smooth. Had a few snags along the way, but no major issues. And it feels great to have a manual swap that isn't rigged up with the old automatic stuff.

NICE!!!!!!!
No lights on dash? No 3k max rev's in neutral? Happy to see you go all out and make it a completely OE setup on a PATS truck.
PS: This build is seriously lacking during and after pictures. What happened, brah!??? lol.

Re: Sticks-2003 Ranger Edge
Congratulations! It sounds like you did things the right way and just didn't do some kind of hack job.
I'm glad you was able to get the clutch bled out because those can be a real PITA sometimes.
Did you take any pictures?

Everything was done factory. I had to pull the upper intake plenum off so that I could run the new engine/manual trans harness. I went all out on this swap. It was an incredible bitch to do, but it feels good to have it done right. I can say that I don't want to ever do a manual swap again. lol.
I am completely lacking on pictures because I needed to go to work tomorrow, so I had to get this done in two days. Plus I figured there were enough pictures between Trey's and Stone's threads. The only difference about my swap was that I went all out, and my truck is a 4x2, which required a longer driveshaft. I'll definitely take some after pictures tomorrow.

All of my paperwork had three different methods on how to bleed the slave cylinder. I had to find one that actually worked. Once I did, the pedal came perfect.

Rear main seal kit came from Advance, since I work there. Just the Felpro brand, but I went with the newer style they offer. I don't really know what the difference is, but we'll see if it works. This is the third rear main seal the truck has had, so we'll see if this fixes my leaks.
