Offroad axle??? Lol Yeah you missed something alright haha. It's not an "offroad" axle. It is a beefier axle that will take the beating of a 5.0 powertrain, it has rear disc brakes, rear sway bar which will help with the sport suspension, 31 spline axle shafts, and a limited slip rear end. All very desirable for a sport setup.

Nice job Jason, www.lmctruck.com might have a rear axle flip kit if you want to slam the rear to match the front.

Thanks Steve but with the explorer rear axle it already is designed to sit on top of the leaf springs so no need for a flipkit there. I did however have to order factory shackles for the rear since I had 2" lift shackles in there as I was planning to just do a 2/3 drop. But all is figured out now! Lol

----------

Well finally got the rear drop all done. Was held up with the rear axle and had to order new rear shackles as well as front master cylinder from the explorer I had to swap in. Now the brakes are bled and all is how it should be. The only thing left is shocks for the front but since I did not want to go with Toxic shocks again I am figuring out a way to make some Nissan hardbody front shocks to work so I can run some nice monroe Sense-Trac's. The bottom of the shock does not have the fork ends however to bolt to the control arm and no place sells shock hardware kits so I am going to have to figure something out. Only a few minor details holding up the motor going in and hopefully those will be worked out very soon!

if you want some better shocks..and Your NOT dead set on the Nissans for the front..check out Belltech Nitro drop shocks http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BEL-8014/ Their Listed for a chevy..but im running them on the front of my 4/5'd ranger and they Ride Really good....a Hair stiff but Definitly Not like Bone Jarring stiff...

You can also run Stock length Kyb Gas Adjust according to jonBaum13... Its what he runs on both of his 4/5'd trucks...I was gonna go that route..and ran into some issues with the person I ordered em from...
So if u do order kyb's Dont go With Kyb Direct / Just suspension lol

But I Love the Nitro's from summit Just stiff enough but not to stiff!

Yeah I just can't find anything on CL that are even decent lol.

And thanks for the input Dustin. I actually found a way to run the Nissan shocks I think so I am gonna give em a shot. I really want to see if those sensa-trac's are all they are made out to be. Also they have a lifetime warranty so if they blow out I get brand new ones! Lol
