Default Ryans 1989 Ford Ranger Build

My 1989 Ford Ranger Build thread. :icon_thumby:

Paid 400$ for the Truck, Nothing wrong with it, came with a Camper Shell I Removed it. The Interior was as black as the street and horrible I spent 5 hours steam cleaning it (no pictures). I got a Ticket in it the Day I bought it by the way. I Will post dates as to when I did stuff on it.

Plans for My Truck, No Order, I will Check these off when done and post pictures, List will be added on to over time. Most are linked.

- Going to Be Bought (Click-able) -
Flowmaster 40 Series
4" SkyJacker Class II Lift
Warn Hub Kit
Bushwacker Fender Flares
PML Differential Cover

- Going to Be Built -
Pre Runner Tailgate
Custom Front Bumper
Rock Sliders
Roll Cage

1 Week after I Bought it

Tuned it up, New Oil, Cap, Roter, Plugs, Belts.

Swapped the Headliner out.

New Fuel Pump.

Removed Some of the Rust and repainted over it. ( Flat Black Spray paint )

2/28/11 - New Alternator, replaced the Original MotorCraft one that was 22 years old with a Duralast one from AutoZone with a lifetime warranty.

3/9/11 - New Thermostat.

3/14/11 - Wheelin

3/24/11 - Another new THERMOSTAT. The one I got on 3/9/11 Malfunctioned and would cause my heater to get super hot then not blow at all, and other things. This one seems to be working like magic.

4/8/11 - New Dashboard face plate. The Old one was becoming discolored and had sun damage. Started my Engine Swap, Found a Good donor and the local Pick N Pull and has only been in the yard 2 months it was in a front end accident. Everything was intact on the engine, He had a Pushbar/Brush Guard on the front which saved the engine.

4/14/11 - Removed my Spare Tire/Carrier. Added my "TheRangerStation.com 20 Horse Power Sticker" To the rear window.

Not really its great that he has pride but there is a proper way to display the flag and have pride in it, this is not the proper way.

For the 2.9l try a thrush turbo muffler just replace where the stock one muffler is with that and leave it open and it will sound badass
