Right, so I'm almost 100% sure I'm going to be flamed for saying this but here it goes.

It's a piece of cloth.

It's a piece of colored cloth that represents a nation.

Now I am not going to get into the "rights" battle but really think about it. He is not putting a United States flag in his vehicle where it is seen everyday to disrespect it, he is putting the flag up because he loves what it represents. That flag represents the nation in which most of us live, a nation that is far more privileged and free then most.

In this day and age when people are so worried about offending others and upholding political correctness, there are individuals who shrug that off and display the flag with pride, as Ryan has done.

The other argument I have is that if you love your country, whatever country that may be, you should be allowed to display that in a tasteful way. As stated earlier, he isn't burning it or letting it touch the ground, but rather putting it in a place he and anyone else has the chance to see on a daily basis and pay respect for those that have allowed him the ability to have that flag in the first place.
