I have pulled 2.3's, 2.5's, 3.0's, ohv's, and sohc's engines these are the hardest. The clearance by the firewall is what makes them so hard. A body lift would make it much easier. Of course then you have to deal with timing^%$^*%$

timing chain tensioner!!! i blew my front tensioner a year ago, rattles like hell above 3k rpm's, fresh oil usually makes it quiet until its ready for a change. i'm not pulling the motor over it, not till she stops.

It's probably the primary chain on yours, that's easy you don't even need to pull the motor. You should think about fixing it before it does major damage.

Its the lower chain on the front.. the one that goes around the crank, iirc the motor has to come out.. I'll be following your endeavors with the ST to see how it goes.
