Do you have to have power mirror housings?

I've been told that it doesn't matter as long as it's an official Ford housing.

Shane (aka - Fx4wannabe01) said that the Muth setup matches the factory mirror base on either an OE manual mirror or the OE power mirror.

He also noted the following: NO aftermarket mirrors have this base, this is an OE mirror thing. Therefore, Muth heated/signal mirror glass WILL NOT work on aftermarket mirrors. Aftermarket mirror pivots/brackets are circular where as OE are square with only one very rounded corner.

Now mind you - I haven't gotten around to installing mine (I have manual mirrors), but Shane was all over the info, so that was good enough for me!

Well I found a set of 2007 red cap mirrors in a salvage yard in Georgia.

I doubt you'd actually consider it though, the lower valence needs to be replaced and the fogs have several cracks in both

wow that body lift lookes really sharp!, congrates on a beautifull end product. Im debating weather I'm going to go through with a body lift on mine, as im not to confidant in doing one myself. I just want something so i can clear 33's on my truck. As I already have a torsion key mod, but dont feel confidante that thats enough.

Not a end product yet.

Torsion keys are worthless nice way to waste money. You don't gain anything that just cranking the torsion bars will do.

Man your ranger is awesome! i want to do more to mine but money is always the factor. I wish i had that few of miles on mine haha
you have given me some good ideas for interior mods. i have never liked that the dome light doesnt have an option to turn it on and off except for the dash.
with the block lift in the back did you just crank the torsion bars? and did you get an pro alignment after?
