Default CAT D4 Bulldozer Project

Its a school project. The owner said the clutches were worn out, there was a hydraulic leak near the blade, a busted upper blade mount and a bad head gasket. We found more problems upon tear down, trashed clutch control valves, a cracked clutch drum, toast batteries, some busted bolts and we found that he hasn't greased any joints so they are toast.
Its been a WIP since September so here are some pictures, some are a little blurry

We had to remove both tanks and most of the controls to get at the clutches

Here the the new clutch packs, 1/2 assembled

Heres a vid of the old packs before we got them out

This is the trashed control valves

We fixed the leak with a new line

This is the busted upper blade mount

And we removed the c-frame so we can get it over to the fab area, because people to the left and right of us are rebuilding engines

And we just got the clutch packs fully assembled and ready to install

Okay we got the clutch packs fully assembled and put the brake drum on them, its in total 160 lbs so we needed a hoist to get them in. But on disassembly my friend somehow got them out by hand

update-We got all but 2 bolts in. We need to run a tap down both holes so the bolts will go in. Then they will be torqued to 100 ft-lbs. But the bolts on the diff. side we will just have to figure if we get around to 100 because no tq wrench will fit there.

We also got the other clutch sitting unbolted on the other side, we ran a tap down all the holes in that one just to make sure before it was put in

Well your shop teacher will probably tell you that putting 100lbs on the end of a wrench that's one foot long will yield that 100lb spec.

UPDATE. Got the one clutch in, all it needs it some adjustment, oil and then needs to get covered and sealed and finally the linkage to the clutch and brake. The brakes might also need a little adjustment too.
We got the other clutch bolted in but not torqued just yet.
