Update-Got the blade on and our mount works perfect, a hydraulic line, the one right next to the one we replaced blew up due to rust. Other than that its working great, and even rolling some coal.

Well first, we had some of the blade controls backward....whoops lol
But all of a sudden the blade got stuck angled, as if one of the hydraulic rams were locked up, so we crack the lines to bleed them, that didn't work, so we added more hydraulic fluid because it was low, that didn't work either. So then you figured we must have gotten one of those lines backwards somehow too, so we started moving lines around, that dint even make a difference. Now we only get an hor a day, except for my one friend who has an extended session, so as me and my other bud were leaving, he and the teacher were tracing back the entire hydraulic system. Im not sure if they have figured it out yet.

Also our time is running short, only 27 hours or so left of class time in total, so the Bobcat project is canceled. Instead my one friend will pull in a Superduty that needs universal joints.

Speaking of superduties my one friend in extended session has a 1st gen superduty, and its ridiculously lifted and badass. He just finished it, and on the first day of driving it to school the police busted him because the bumpers were too high. He could be on a superduty forum maybe.

Ok, so after taken out all the hydraulic lines, cleaning them, inspecting them, testing them, and then after studying the manual and calling Michigan CAT, and a few gallons of hydraulic oil on the floor, we got it back together, then went to test it. It worked fine. We still didn't know what the problem was, either bad hydraulic cylinder or twisted line, or even a cap jammed in the line somewhere. So it was relief to see it working without any leaks, then BANG, the hydraulic hose the the cylinder blew up.
So now i'll have call the owner to let him know a 3rd line blew up and see if he wants to put anymore money into it, which may be unlikely to happen.

2 new hoses will run over 75 bucks, so the owner has around a $4500 bill for this dozer. We quoted him at the beginning of the year of around $3200-$3300. Hopefully this will be the last time we have to pull it apart.
This picture is a week or so old, before the hydraulic problems

So we had to do some final finishing touches like paint, plus we tightned up the tracks. Everything works good. Owner picked it up yesterday and took it right to work, no problems at all.
From the panel we had to cut out to fix the rust holes in the diesel tank

Front blade mount we fabricated, fresh paint there too

And a quick pic of what it looked like when we were 110% done

Notice how much tighter the tracks are, drove much nicer too

So this project is DONE. Final price was just under $4500. Was supposed to be $3500 but we found those other problems and some of those lines blew up too.
And the engine is a CAT engine, we thought it was a mitsu diesel due to it being made by mitsubishi, its powered by a 3046 5.0 inline 6 naturally aspirated making 85-88 hp
