Now for the rest of the pictures

Replaced the drive shaft from a 2 piece to a one piece , what a difference in the truck .

Carpet replace with the carpet from the ranger, used the sill covers from the ranger as well

My Father made this new metal box to attach the hood latch to use the Ranger hood

I am having a hard time finding a fuel door here in Canada.

This is what the truck looked like when I first bought it ,

Changes I have done to the Mazda since I first bought it
Tinted windows
From the 99 Ranger I added these items to the Mazda
Dome light
High level cargo /brake light
Front clip
Box
Reese Class III hitch
Ashtray/airbag panel
One piece drive shaft
Other items added or changed include
15" rims from a Ranger with BF Goodrich T/A's
Explorer center console
Mustang Recaro Seats
Auto Loc power door locks
and finally power mirrors

Parts I have replaced on the truck so far
Front / Rear brakes
Shocks
Exhaust9soon to be replaced again)
Rear hanger brackets and shackles on both sides

Work still to do,
Recover the headliner
Recover the seats
Complete the stereo Install
Find a fuel door
Replace the front leaf spring hangers on both sides
Replace the windshield when the truck gets painted in the spring
Paint the center raised portion of the hood and the grill to match the cab
Install vent visors

Update time , With the nice weather we are having I have started to work on the truck once again. Today I replace the latches on the cap I got a couple of weeks ago , it now locks . I also installed the headliner I covered with faux suede 2 weeks ago . This is the first headliner I have done so excuse the wrinkles .

This is the cap I got , yes it needs paint but then so does the truck

there will be more added in the coming weeks .

Well , I just had something major happen to the truck , driving along the engine revved right up to 5 grand , no forward motion or reverse , plus the truck wouldn't start after I shut it off , it is at the garage now , I will call them tomorrow and let them know what happened . What a week , first a brake line fails , now this . Whats next ?

A little up date on my project , After replacing the flex plate ,the tranny decided to give up , I am getting it rebuilt as the truck has to last me a few more years .
I was in at the shop that is doing the rebuild , the clutch pack only has one ring that has friction material on it , all the others were bare steel or brass. that was as far as it was torn down , all going well I should have my truck back on Friday,It turned out the transmission that was in the truck wasn't the original , it came from a wreck so who know what kind of abuse it suffered . It will be interesting to see how it drives with the rebuilt transmission in it .
