Default Rockslyde's 2wd Rebuild

So going to do a 3 inch lift, not sure if just suspension or suspension and body, hopefully i can replace the engine, (looking for a v6) tranny, as well as wheels and tires.
these are the wheels i'm thinking about, i don't really dig the tires with the circles, but i still wanted something that says truck. here's what i found that fit my budget
http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/fin...1720&rc=WIMINT

any other ideas on my plans will gladly be accepted, I do plan to paint the old girl too, and possiblely get a cap just not sure what kind.

Sounds like you have some big plans ahead. Those rims are pretty cool. Post a pic of your truck when you get a chance so we know what you are working with.

The rims aint to bad looking and not a bad price I might offer. Good luck on the build. What V6 are you looking at putting in it does it have 4cyl in it now if so why not build it up?

build the lower end up and turbo it that little motor has lots to offer if you are willing to put the time into it.

Why not drop a 302 in it???

FYI, body lift is cheaper but much harder to install. Spindle lift is around 300-350 and a lot easier to install.

IMO, if I had that truck, I would lower it with either 18's or 20's on them . But that's just my opinion. Good luck with the build, can't wait to see the process of it.

Not sure if this engine could handle that, it's got 200k + miles on it.
