been workin 2 jobs at around 65+ hours a week.....i haven't had time to think straight recently

i did FINALLY find the elusive oil leak.....cracked oil pan....
the crack was just behind the front corner bolt so i did what any proper repairman would do, i JB welded it

now she doesn't mark her territory everywhere i go and i'm not putting a quart of oil in every week


i did get a promotion at O'reillys so i'm gonna go back to having one job and just a smidge more money, so i may have some updates or mods in the near future since that time of year is coming.....

I like this truck

possibly a push bar/brushguard....more lights....lift....you name it

but for now just general maintenance and getting her back to being a decent truck instead of a ragged out farm truck

the front and rear springs are so saggy my 2wd is almost as tall as my 4x4 with bigger tires.....so thats my next adventure

i'm thinking either JY leaf packs off a newer ranger for the rear and springs for the front

or leave the front alone and just get some AAL's for the rear

mini update i guess...

got some AAL's installed and fixed the saggy rear end...

i can actually haul stuff now without it bottoming out

installed some flamethrowing exhaust....(see exhaust thread)

finally got a decent running truck
i felt so proud of it i even changed all the fluids in it a few days ago....

and of course, now the brake booster goes out...
cruising around last night and the brake pedal started hissing....so i just unplugged and blocked off the vacuum hose
the truck now has manual brakes.....oh well, my 87 didn't have power brakes either

not much has been done to the old beast

took her out 4 wheeling a few months ago and blew out the master cylinder (that was a fun ride home)
got a few battle scars down the passenger side as well....nothing some spray paint can't fix

but other than that i drive her only when i need something hauled or if i go out to play
the damn thing still gets more compliments than my mini-truck....damn hicks...lol

no new major mods planned as of yet but some stuff happens spontaneously....


and i did happen to take it back by the old man who i bought it from....
he couldn't believe it was still on the road considering the shape it was in when i bought it.
i took him for a ride and he showed me his garage where he started working on cars again...
he's been working on a 67 fastback....i wonder if he'll trade
