Hey for you choke what you have to do? I have to hold the gas down for a bit when its cold to get it little warm so it can warm up on its own. It looks like my choke working too. and I have to start it by pumping the gas to get it running when its cold too.

Thanks

josh

Truck runs like a top.....always starts with the 1st turn of the key
Manual choke FTW!
idles smooth and accelerates hard (for a 2.8) lol

the driver side hub i think is going out or it has a bad bearing.....it grinds randomly when in 4wd....mostly while slowing down....haven't taken it apart yet to see

the passenger seat is in....but its being held in place by 1 bolt and the seat belt, so still no passengers.....

The stereo is finished...all speakers are in and working ( no pics yet)
sound quality is amazing....though it could use a small sub...

CB is still sitting on the shelf waiting for install.....just need time

but for tonight....i'd thought i'd get in the holiday spirit so i dusted off the old LED christmas lights i used on Stig 1.0 a few years ago.....

so far i couldn't be happier for how the truck turned out......it still has a few flaws but they will get worked out over time

I just used the manual choke kit from any parts store....

Ran the pull knob out where the cig lighter used to be

When its cold I pull the knob, start the truck and drive

I'm not gonna make it pretty....the body will stay about the same....

Havent really thought about wheels....been more concerned about makin the driveline bulletproof

The whole idea behind this truck was to make a rough, tough rig that would never let me down.

22" of snow didn't stop it this winter, and its always started for me....I'd say its doing its job well so far

HOT DAYMN! Good work Stig, truck looks nice. I love the older body styles like that. I'm completely jealous. If only I had the time and money.

yeah...i hear ya
the old ones just seem to be in a class of their own

to get it running took me about a month
(working on it 4 to 8 hours a day depending on if i had to work that day)
i got it road legal in just under 3 months

total investment including price of truck (not tires).....about $1400

the paint is starting to flake off in some areas now (car wash sprayers are hell on flat paint)
but thats why i used flat black....i can touch it up with a spray can without a whole lot of prep work

i've actually thought about painting the center body line an olive drab army green.....i'm gonna play with it in photoshop and see if i like it

Wow! only 1400 huh? Hmmmmmm.... I guess it's more of a time and skill issue for me then. Because I would definitely pay 1400 for a truck like that haha!

Hmmm, the drab olive sounds pretty cool. In my opinion though, I LOVE the all black look though. But that's just me of course. Whatever you do, muchos muchos pics so I can at least dream of owning it.
