Re: The 99 Ranger Solid Axle Swap begins.
I know it's been a few years, and I almost completely forgot I had this account. The truck took about 6 months to finish, but was completed. I drove the truck for about 3 years till I recently sold it. I did want to share some pics of the finished product though. Everything worked out well, did leaf springs all around, with the 44" tsls, and 5:13 gears front and rear. The truck only topped out at about 85, but was pure evil in the low gears. I took it on several mudding trips and climbed over every bush, hill, rock and tree I came across, I accidentally ran over 3 vehicles, one of which was my own. Over time I even got good at standing the truck up on two wheels. I crossed every lake, tore up every park and even escaped multiple DUI's. I guess you can say it was more than just a truck, it was a memory I will never forget. I eventually got so reckless when I drove it I decided I had to sell it if I wanted to live to see 30. So anyways, good luck with your builds and hope you enjoy the pics.
