Need to find out a bit of info about the link loc, might have it installed before then. Probably nothing more than a t-fitting on the forward brake line. Hope no one has tire smoke allergies, could get thick...

Performed a complete teardown and reassembly of the newly acquired trac loc differential to check for wear, it needed to be dissassembled until the ring gear and bearings were installed. Found out that the friendly folks down at Better Off Road also had the $400 tool for extracating the bearing without destroying them. Didn't really charge anything for the service, offered though.

The only thing worse than taking one apart is getting that darned spring squashed back in without losing your sanity.

Got a spare 8.8 open differential, real cheap if anyone needs one...

Wheeled the truck out of the garage finally after all the struggle and started doing the final few checks prior to getting the bed back on.

Went to Schucks/Oreilies to see about getting the left side Ebrake cable ordered, could take a while, just like the last one.

Used the engine lift to get the bed back on requiring only one person and a little luck. Torqued down the bolts and got the rear lights hooked back up, forgot about the fuel hose until I got over to fill up, Woops. Small issue, the bigger issue is that as soon as I left the driveway, it was a hell of a lot smoother on the brakes and no slop when going slow on the backroads. Found that the tires are about 1 inch inside the fender, didn't change the stance much.

THIS FREAKIN ROCKS..

Just hope it stays together for the next 20 or so years.

Awesome work can't wait to see it again, as for the line lock it's a simple cylinoid that is placed in the hard line to the front brakes between the master cylinder and calipers, normally closer to the master the better and all it does is when u hit the button it stop the fluid from returning to the master, thus front brakes still ingauged back brakes free and ready for the accelerated loss of tire tread

found a couple of different line loc brands to compare through summit. I figure about 1 minute of tire burn before running out of tread, have to get some spares for burning up

Did a little bit of fishtailing while out running a few errands, hell of alot more fun

Don't know about making the next meet in Centralia, my anniversary would be kinda shot. Have to try on the next one after.

Having awesome luck with the new rear and trac loc, heck of alot better traction on the ice. Now the old cable for the clutch decided to snap up by the pedal again, on to the next project. Either find the proper fitting slave cylinder for the tranny or get a new cable, old one's gettin too short. Really wierd how when it breaks or comes off, it's only less than a mile from the house and not when at the meeting in Centralia.
