Default STL's 1989 project truck

The look I wanna go for minus the rims and hood

Tore into the interior will be tackling the body hopefully soon

The inside was NASTY carpet was moldy. There is a water leak somewhere around the back window. Should be replacing that some time

Under the carpet was nice and clean. need new floor rubber grommets for the passenger side

Onto the pictures

4/30/09

1989 Ford Factory speakers made by Jensen

Carpet all tore out

Found this under the carpet had all the truck info on it. Guess it was a build sheet

Also removed the very large side mirrors. Will be replacing with smaller ones

I tackled the headliner. Came out okay need to do it again with some help from 2 other people to get it right

Has some wrinkles around the corners

Tell me what you think Have yet to reinstall the new visors I got

Before

After installed

Tore into the exterior fenders are trash head lights and turn signals need replaced chrome rings around them are okay

I kinda fill like I am at work working on this truck. Who ever repainted it and did the body work decided it was to hard to put some bolts back into the spots so it was relatively easy. Same thing happens at work when we go to pull a engine out shop before us forgot some bolts to fenders

Sprayed engine down with simple green only got the intake clean HAHA

Intake before:

After:

Clean on left dirty on right

Cleaned just left half

2 front end's Im thinking about

1: Minus the bug deflector & fender flare deals

2:

Tough call on the front clips...but I think I am leaning towards the second option more. Are you going to get some side skirts and a roll pan?? Sticking with the OEM hood? Any plans for the engine/suspension??

Really digging that headliner by the way! Carpet going back in for the floor??

No side skirts
Roll pan possible if I can find one I like trying to find a seamless one
Yes on the OEM hood not a fan of cowl hoods or ones with scoops

Engine is gonna be a 2.3 turbo
Suspension looking at a 2/3 drop or a 4/5 drop with 18" boss 304 wheels

Carpet will be going back into the truck as soon as I get some new carpet from LMC

Black boss 304 wheels

Those wheels are badass man! What are you going to do with the paint? Freshen up or completely new? Seamless being a metal one that you weld to the bed sides?

The two-tone is sweet. I think I like the all black one a bit better, though.
It kind has the look of something I always wanted to do - paint a vehicle with flat paint, then pile on the clearcoat.

The last few years at the auto show here in Detroit the Lamborghini's have been sporting flat paint jobs. If it's good enough for a Lambo, it''s good enough for anything else!
