P.S. When you buy new valve cover gaskets, spend a little more and buy the all blue rubber ones with the metal core. Felpro I think. They're worth every penny.. Re-usable too.

What makes you say the heads are junk?

I already got my valve cover gasket. I know not to get the cork ones. I never use those

Because a larger percentage of Ford 2.9 heads are junk than good usable units..

I've replaced 5 heads with new head bolts every time. Had the block decked. Everything. If they're gonna crack then nothings gonna stop them..

I was just wishing you luck dude.

It was a MAJOR FAIL on Fords part.. World products makes replacement heads that are cast different, like you posted.. I think that's the name of the company anyway.. Pricey indeed, but worth every penny in the end.. At least if you've replaced heads as often as I have.. I wish I would've ordered from them in the beginning.. Think about it on your build....

Truck went to the crusher as Scott said above.

Frame up front was pretty screwed. Once we pulled the engine you could see it all bowed in.
