This is exceptionally helpful information. Thanks a ton. Should have considered the driveshaft issue. Still learning here. Luckily there is much saving to be done which means plenty of time for planning and figuring things out.

Biltrite, your truck just keeps getting better and better.

the front axle is a HP dana 44 out of a 78-79 bronco

the rear axle is a 31 spline 8.8 that can be found in some L2 rangers, explores, f150's etc
this one happen to come out of a 96 ford explorer

for lift in the rear I have six inch sky jacker leaf springs and beltech drop shackles

for the front Im runing coilovers wich can be bought in many lengths and spring rates to achieve desired height

I know its been a while... just thought I would post a little update

not much has changed but I did break a few teeth off the front r&p so while I was replacing that I threw an ARB locker in there

I was also having a problem with the rear ring and pinion warping I went threw a few set before I found the problem

at first I thought the axle tubes were bent but after putting a strait bar threw it we figured it had to be the locker.

so I replaced the eaton with a zipp locker and have had no problems since

I wore out the pitbull rockers so I threw some trail grapplers on it

And I did get fiberglass bedsides for the rear about a year ago but have not put them on

thanks! I love the build, personally think it's one of the best.
Can you post pictures of the coil over mount on the axle? I want to try an figure out the best location to maintain the lowest possible center of gravity.
