So I've got a project I want to build that and I've got a few questions about.
Every thread I've read on here and the rest of the internet that never gets answered due to no one getting past the fact that someone is going to build regardless.
I have a few cheap and easy places to get parts.
4.0 SOHC awd 5 speed ranger locker in the back and eventually m90 supercharger with all the extras without completly building out the engine until I need to. I was going to do timing chain, water pump, head bolts, and head gaskets while it was on the engine stand.
My questions are:
Which year should I use? Mainly im wondering which front axles/front differential would be better for what I'm trying to do?
93-97 4x4?
98-01 4x4?
02+ 2wd or 4wd either will work
I'll pick my year and what not after I get that.
Which year engine? It has to be sohc, are they ever different?
Which transfer case?
What is the easiest way to lower any of those with 4x4 components?
What type of locker?
I pretty much have a free m90. A connection to really cheap body/frames.
I already have a 98 5.0 baja style ranger FI mild build.
