Wow it seems like forever since I've done an update to this thread but but here we go. I finally got the truck to cool as it did when I first got it together (180*), after about 6 gallons of antifreeze, a new water pump, flushing the system and adjusting the timing countless times but its finally doing what I need it to do. Also I have installed a MSD StreetFire ignition box along with a Blaster coil form MSD. For some reason I was burning up coils left and right also, but that's fixed too. And about the bog and load up of the carburetor, A buddy of mine gave me a parts 650dp and I used the metering plates off of it and slapped them on my carb. and PRESTO, the truck runs and sounds better than ever. Two other add ons have been a set of ford racing roller rockers I picked up off craiglist for $100 and a roll pan I found for $125. Sorry for rambling but I'm so excited having this thing back running as it should. It won't be long and I'll be taking her to the track to see what kind of numbers I can turn! I"ll keep you informed.

Just a couple of pics of some sanding I did on the truck along with cutting holes in the hood for my hood scoop.

Well I still haven't take the ranger to the track but I'm getting closer by the minute. I finally tagged the truck up this week and took it out for a little drive. And WOWWWWWW! By far the fastest vehicle I've ever owned. I still have some spots to finish up priming on the truck and I have a set of 39 Ford tailights to install yet but its definitely coming along. WIll keep you informed.

Didnt know wheter to start a new thread or keep this one alive , but I'll start here by saying Hello once again and sorry for abandoning this great forum for so long. Ive been playing around with the ranger since I've last posted and also added a set of Edelbrock Performer heads and a X303 cam giving me a 13.50et @ 99.5 mph as the fastest run I could get out the truck. Not to bad considering the fact that I'm spinning through first and second gear on MT ET Streets. But the point of all of this is I'm ready to pull the 302 and put a 351w stock bottom end with 11.5:1 KB pistons, taking the Performers off the 302 with Comp Cams XE294 flat tappet. Just wondering if the 351w will sit in the same spot as the 302 as I've welded one of my frame plates and kinda worried about that. Thnaks in advance guys.
