So, I started on my clutch last night. I'm able to use my buddy's shop after hours, which is nice. Everything was going well until I got to the front driveshaft. It came off of the transfer case fairly easily, but I was only able to get one strap off of the U-joint in the front. I can't get the other two bolts broken loose. You can't get a socket over it, torx bits just break, and there isn't enough room to get vice grips on it. I'm thinking I'll end up just cutting the strap and buying a new one. Otherwise I got the rear driveshaft off, the exhaust off from the manifold, and the transfer case bolts broken loose. Would have gotten much further I think but that worthless front driveshaft took up a lot of time and made life extremely difficult. If anyone has any additional advice for the rest of the process, I'd gladly take it.

That BL is gonna make it a hell of a lot easier to get to those tranny bolts on top. At least you saved yourself there.

I had to use a 24" extension, without the BL it's hard to see the fuel line bracket, etc.

Well, the new clutch pack and slave cylinder are in and everything out back together. Definitely a lot nicer now. Once the front driveshaft was finally off, it wasn't really that bad. When I finally got it off, it only took a little over two hours to get the transmission unbolted, off, parts replaced, and everything back together. Using a shop with a rotary lift and transmission jack made the whole process so much better.

Truck has started pinging recently, though. Probably need new plugs, but that's not a big deal.

I'm gonna put some decals on the rocker panels where 2006-2008 Level II's have their badge. Just throwing some ideas around. What do y'all think? Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards Renegade in the font of Freedom, but I don't know.
