So I finished the lift today, finally. I'll take pictures in the morning. The only issue I ran into was the head broke off the passenger side front cab bolt and I had to use vice grips to screw it out the bottom. Otherwise, it only took about 2 hours to lift the cab. The only problem I have now is the shifter hits the plastic shift console in 2nd gear. It was pushing it out of gear, so I cut it some, but it still rubs and moves the console and feels really cheap.

Well, it's been raining so I was only able to get one cheap picture on my phone. You can kinda tell what I did to raise the receiver. It was an adjusting receiver so I pulled it apart and welded the center part on top of the adjusting sides. I did 3 passes all the way around with the welder. It took forever, and I think I'm gonna run to Tractor Supply and get a couple long bolts to run through the whole thing. It's not as strong as it was originally, but I'm pretty sure it'll be stronger than the Ranger is.

Stopped raining briefly before dark. I'm gonna try and get my hands on an 06+ front bumper, or at least a new valance at the least. I'm not really digging the look of the front right now.

Also America.

So yesterday the junkyard was having a half off sale, so I went hoping to find some goodies. Unfortunately I couldn't find a nice 06+ front bumper, or anything 06+ for that matter, but I managed to get a new valence from a 2001 for $3.00, cut it to fit, painted it black, and threw it on. It doesn't look great, but it's certainly better than it was.

When I was lifting my truck and had to take that black strip of plastic that holds the kick panel down on the passenger side, one of the screws was stripped and I got so frustrated trying to get it out, I ended up just ripping it off, so I got a new one of those as well.

I also got a 3rd brake light with a bed light in it, but I've been too lazy to wire it in.

Then I gave her a bath and took some nice pics since that's all this "build thread" seems to be.

I'm really loving this body lift. I'd love to get some 33x11.50 KM2s on some nice gunmetal beadlocks or something like that but that's money I don't have.

It definitely does look good on those tires. I need to get mine to sit like that.

So ever since I did the lift, my truck's been throwing EVAP system large leak (P0455) and fuel cap off codes. The obvious culprit seems like it would be the fuel neck extension or the vent extension, but both of those seem fine and I can't find any signs of a leak. Unfortunately, there's nowhere around here that has a smoke tester. Any ideas?

-----------------

Update: So I believe I found the culprit. The line coming from the EVAP canister to the vapor management valve had come disconnected because I wasn't able to get the line bent enough. A pipe clamp on the rubber hose solved that problem. Hopefully the light will stay off now. Time will tell. Or my inspection Friday.

Mine did the same thing and it is still throwing codes. Mine was the filler neck.

No check engine lights, no codes, inspection passed, and some snow.

The KO2s did perfect. They don't slide much and I haven't gotten stuck yet. Tomorrow I start work on replacing my clutch. Fun stuff.

That tire size looks great!
33's would be sick, but as it sits it still looks wicked.

Thanks Tyler! The lift and front valence definitely did the trick. I've been keeping my eye on the local junkyard for an 06+ to come in that I can cannibalize. I'd like to get an STX grille for it in addition to corner lights, mirrors, etc.

I can't wait to see how your truck will look with a bumper back on it.

Thanks, y'all. I'm definitely gonna some 33" KM2s but not until these wear out, which will be a couple years.

I think the next thing will be to bed-line the rocker panels and maybe the bed. Maybe some LED puddle lights under the doors. Beats me. Depends on how much money I have left over at the end of the month.

My laundry list of mods includes:
LED headlights and tail-lights
Light bar on the roof
OEM cruise control
LED fog lights
Supplemental LED reverse lights
New radio/head unit and sound system
LED cluster and interior lights
Bed lighting
Bilstein 4600s
Rear diff locker (Ox locker maybe)
Toyota Inferno repaint

Half that stuff probably won't happen, especially the locker and repaint, but it's nice to dream.
