Many things left to do but it is back on the front burner.
That little truck is going to be a riot! You going to do positrac for the rear or add weight or something? You'll be destroying rear tires left and right with all the wheelspin...

Subbed and will keep an eye out. Gonna put a big smile on your face when you drive it the first (thousand) time(s).

I'm going to enjoy the pleasure of completely destroying the little 4.10 7.5 rear end in it, then I have a 3.73 LS 8.8 with disk brakes from the mountaineer I'm putting in.

I figure it should take less than a week to destroy the rear end.

Change of plans!

The 99 expo I just picked up for the 4.0 that runs great going in a stock for sale project has a 4.10 LS rear end (D2) which is exactly what I wanted from the beginning. That's going in the V8 project. So are the seats and carpet.

I stripped the Mountaineer over the weekend of all the other parts I need like the throttle cable, MAF sensor, air box, zip tube, and that one sensor for the transmission that didn't come with the 2WD version I bought.

I have to do the 4.0 replacement in my white 4WD first then I'm free for the rest of the year to work on the V8.

There is a light at the end of this project
