Congrats on the raise, but man it's easy to spend all the time working isn't it? I get the desire to just jump on something and go. My Honda is exactly that, dead reliable, so fuss, just goes every time. The Yamaha on the other hand is as much for tinkering as riding! Good luck picking something out, I highly recommend riding! Lol!

Thanks, the raise was hard fought for, boss doesn't like to spend money. I've looked at a couple online, will be a while before I decide what to do. I'll probably end up with something like this

Re: My POS Craigslist Special 92 Ranger
Shit both of those would be great, and the price is right! Just fun, easy maintenance, jump on and go.

Re: My POS Craigslist Special 92 Ranger
Nice! Good choice on the Honda...I've always been a Honda man, they run forever. Just be careful and watch out for *******es out there, there's a lot more of them than there used to be and most of them are texting these days.
I hope you don't give up on the Ranger though...hang on to it and someday you'll find the time to finish it.

My very first ride out, someone was passing in the city over a double yellow line coming right at me, my very first ride! I'm definitely paying attention to everything.
Yeah I think Honda was a great choice, took a bit of work to get it running real nice but now it starts at the push of a button, don't even have to choke it. Fast AF! I have enough pictures of the work I've done on it to start a thread just like this, paid $500 for the bike, spent over $1,500 last month fixing it up.
The ranger will hopefully get finished this year as well, with my raise and my side work, it'll most likely come down to just needing some time
----------
Also bought a center stand. My brother's bike is the green 1991 Kawasaki Zephyr 750. A little prettier than mine at the moment, but he can't keep up with my 600.
