Well I put the POS on jack stands to see if I could take care of some vibration and rattling issues on Easter. Been a tradition of mine to work on my vehicles on Easter for 5 or 6 years now.
Well I didn't work on the Ranger and it's still on jack stands, but I did get new wheels for the Camaro. Forged OEM ZL1 wheels. I love them, they look so much better than the replicas. Plus they are stamped CAMARO, that's worth the price alone!

Well I had an appointment to sell the Camaro to the dealership today because I stood to make a lot of money because the values are way up. Couldn't do it peeled out of there and don't have any regrets.

I was getting all fired up about spending a huge chunk of change on the POS again. It definitely needs major attention before I put my trust in it on the road daily. I just decided to go ahead and do what I can on my budget and try to focus on it instead of buying other silly junk I don't need.

First order of business is new cab mounts and bolts. I'm not sure how the cab and I didn't go flying off making some high G turns, the way I like to drive. Brother came over to help. He has a 2013 3.7 Mustang at the moment.

Feels good to be working on the POS again. It's turning cold here I'm not sure how much I will get done. A lot of driveline vibration I need to nail down not sure if it's motor or something behind it.

What's your pinion angle look like? Dropped extended cabs usually need pinion shims. 2° or so.

It's a pretty steep angle. I started by shimming the transmission mount up. Then I installed the transmission mount without the shims and no change, I tried a new center carrier bearing on the drive shaft no change. One thing I haven't tried is flipping the drive shaft I didn't mark it when I took it off. I have not shimmed the rear axle. I'll need to do more research on fixing pinion angle.

I really think most of the vibration is coming from the motor itself. It doesn't seem like it's running quite right, I'm no mechanic I need to start testing some things.
I really wish some more knowledgeable members lived close to me lol

Lol I'm so tired of this thing. Don't even want to go that far. I'm thinking of a strategically shaped metal plate with a hole drilled in it to lay flat on top of the mount and welded around the outside of the mount on the bottom of the plate. The mount itself is solid just missing the part that holds the bushing

I’ve got two 84 Rangers, one frame is getting powder coated the other is parts. I can sell you the whole front mount body mount. PM me if interested. Good condition, been a Texas truck so just minimal surface rust. Where’d you get the body mounts for the truck?
