1997 ford f-50 dually build "KaCey Muddmutt"

So I never did a build thread when I first built my dually ranger and since I'm redoing the truck I figured I would now. Should go a bit faster this time around since everything has already been made and just needs to be transferred over. Purchased another ranger almost identical as the dually but it's a different green, automatic and nearly 100,000 miles less on it.

Just to clarify the new truck is a 1997 ford ranger 4x4 with a 4.0l V6 backed by an automatic tranny. It has power windows, locks, and mirrors.

Been stripping her down getting her ready for pant. Only doing the cab forward since I'm having the cab forward painted. Also already installed the fiberglass cowl hood so it matches.
Not keeping the rims but painted them when I got bored one day.

Since the bed is off decided to work on the frame. Wire wheeled the whole thing, replaced all four leaf spring hangers, both shackles are done, and removed two bad cross members. Only had one to put back in at the moment since I have to find the other. Also need to replace the shock mounts before I can finish undercoating it.

Finally getting around to setting the truck with a gooseneck. Not bolted down cause I still need to make sure it will fit under the bed.

Back from paint and Kacey already looks so much better. Never thought getting a car painted would be like opening a present.

Progress has been painfully slow due to being busy with school and work. Well classes are done so I should be able to get more done. Here is the custom intake that gets the K&N filter as high up as possable without going through the hood.

Needed a break from fighting with the lift kit so decided to paint the grill so it looks fresh and clean again.

Finally got most of the 4" lift in it. Still need to do the front shocks and springs.

Yea but that's how Rough Country has there setup. The stock blocks will be removed when I put the f150 leaf springs in.

She is back on all four tires with the lift finally done. Also have the tinted blue light bar on the roof but not anywhere close to wiring it yet.

Finally finished getting the Wolo are horns in so it allowed me to finish the nose. Freshly painted bumper and brush guard with nice KC Daylighters. The other truck is starting to look sad as I pull more and more off and replace it with stock parts.

Been doing a lot of running wires for all the accessories and build a decent switch board. Want to stain it at some point but it's in for now so I can get the wire lengths right.

So I got a little bored after finishing the wiring so snapped this pic. Right now they are the same hight since the new truck only has the 4" lift where as the old truck has the 1.5" leveling kit and tires that are 2.8" taller then stock.
So far the brush guard lights, starter kill switch, sub kill switch, DVD safety by pass switch, and the sub box are all wired in and working. Some of the others accessories will be put in as I go. Ready to get it on the road and start driving it.

Figure I would show the process of putting the bed together. Only time me an hour or two but was a month to actually build it the first time. As you can see I removed the fleetside skin.

Next I bolted the stepside fenders into it after drilling the holes for it. Since ford already bolts there fenders on it was an easy step. Speaking of step I modified the one on it to flow better with the cab.
