Quick and needed update: ordered some LEDs from buggman a few days ago and waiting to have the time to open up the dash to install them. Planning on putting some red translucent paint on the gauges and hvac. Also started sanding down my brush guard, getting rid of the rust and roughing it up for spray paint. Going with a matte black to match the rest of the trim and the new grill.

Cant wait to install the LEDs so I can see my cluster! lol. I also got my brake booster and master cylinder in. I'm thinking the booster is going out and since I'm doing a brake conversion, needed to get a new master cylinder from a Explorer.

Quick update, been doing more work to the truck. Finishing up painting my brush guard and hopefully will get it installed this week. Also got done doing the LED conversion on my dash thanks to buggman and with all of his support with that with my million questions. Photos to come.

Long needed update: replaced wheel bearings on Monday and the front rotors. Those were basically gone. Haven't been able to get any work on the brushguard. I also just bought some seats out of a 08 Ranger to replace mine. The drivers side needs new foam and fabric and both seem to be hard to find and the price I've been getting quoted is way more than I paid for two new seats. So I'll be selling my old ones soon

Seats should be in this week, and I got the brush guard all done and installed! Although I think i need to adjust my bumper some how. The guard seems to rub on it on one side. Something tells me I'll need to take the whole thing apart

Funny little post.... the truck was giving me a system too lean code. Common problem was the PCV valve according to Google, went to go check it to make sure it wasn't bad, for some reason it was out of its spot. The crap? So I went to put it back in it's spot, it snapped. Not to surprising being that it has 223K on it. Went to get a new one and take out the remaining plastic, the tubing broke. Bloody hell I thought... So after a new PCV and tubing, it's no longer running lean lol.

Yesterday my Dad and I did a conversion on the rear brakes from drum to disk. They are basically 93 Cobra brakes or 87-89 Turbo Coupe brakes(I'll have to double check on the years for the Turbo Coupe). On the How-to thread it says to use 94-04, which we didn't do since dad's was a 93. Only difference for those is bigger brake size and 94-04 is a 5 lug, compared to the 4 lug. So the rotors I have were converted to a 5 lug at one point since my dad did a 93 conversion on his Mustang.

Judging by the thread, we did things a little different. One thing that we did was that we had to machine the axles since they wouldn't fit in the rotor hat. Another thing we did was that instead of cutting the caliper bracket, we bolted it on. So you can do the project without cutting it and losing strength with the piece. You'll have to take apart the diff some though of course, which would make it a good time to check everything back there anyways like the bearings and seals.

I'll make a more complete write up of this when the project is done since we have to wait on a part but I'll upload the photos I have now. Can't wait to try these out.

Only thing we've really ran into is figuring out what to do about the master cylinder since there isn't much of a clear cut answer on if I should have a proportioning valve or not and figuring out the e-brake line

Mine is already bad as it is, although I think its the cats going out. Which doesn't surprise me since it has 223K on it. Maybe if this isn't a daily driver anymore I'll put bigger tires on. Just a matter of money though

Quick update on the brakes, I got the e-brake line shortened (forgot the company that did it off the top of my head), I replaced the original 224K rubber lines with new ones but still a little soft. Thinking on bringing it to a brake shop and tell them a run down on everything. Maybe I have air in the ABS even after all the bleeding I've done.

Annnndddd, I also bought a use tow hitch. Paid $60 for it and it's a class 3. Although I don't think I'll be pulling anything that big, but never know

Bought a hitch for the truck awhile ago! And yesterday I brought the truck to one of the local car shows. I think it was a pretty good excuse to get the truck detailed. Everyone loved the stickers. https://www.flickr.com/photos/133500...7652699187534/

Looking at doing limited slip soon before my road trip to Baja. Probably going to find a 8.8 out of a Ranger and swap my disks over

I'm thinking on coming up with a nickname for the truck. Something easier to say. Any ideas?

As always, nothing really new with the truck although I did do a road trip to Baja and did some wheeling and junk. Did about 2,500 miles round trip when it was all said and done

A few photos from the trip that involve the truck itself. I have more somewhere on my many SD cards and a video being made. I just need more time to work on it haha
