Been awhile since I did an update. Last update had Midnight special and Expo. Well we made the dusty times for our win at Midnight Special


After the 2013 Off-Road Expo we had a couple weeks until the 2013 SNORE & Make A Wish "Wish Ride" In Primm, NV. The night before the event I had the truck on display at Dirt Freeks open house in Vegas



The next morning was the second annual Wish Ride for team KMR.

After the Make A Wish event is was time to prepare for the John Calvin Memorial SNORE 250. Race started out good I got my competitor in first 5 miles only 1 showed up of the 3 others that were on the entry list. After passing him and putting a nice gap, at mile 16 (same MM were we got hit at MINT 400 in Jean as well) I hit a skull and cross bones a little to fast and foot slipped off gas pedal hitting throttle cable and snapping stud off in pedal. Took 25 minutes to rig up a fix. By the end of my second lap I had cut his lead down to 10 minutes, but got out and let Frank Napoli hop in the driver seat. He will be joining KMR for 2014. He had a good pace going but half way through that lap he hit a big rock that took out u-joint. No spares on board it took them awhile to find the cap that came off in order to make it to a pit to put a new one in. By the time he finished that lap we were not allowed to start our 4th lap. This marked second time this year both in Jean were we DNF due to time out. Racing pro class with little horsepower but having to do same amount of laps as a unlimited vehicle in same time frame gave us little time allowed for repairs. The first time we had a flat and a 15 min stuck behind broken vehicle and timed out, that was a night race and had a shorter time frame. Next year we got some horsepower coming into the truck which will help with this.

After SNORE 250 we got ready for the final race of the season. With class championship locked in place we wanted to finish to secure our spot in top 10 overall. Met with Dezertwife Photography after tech for a photo shoot

Next it was time to race








Finished all 5 laps behind the RJR truck on Saturday and on Sunday got two flats on Driver side in first 5-6 miles, made it to mile 9/10 and changed out. Within 5 more miles a check point person notice rear tire low at road crossing and by drop off I knew I had another flat. This one was worst, I pulled over at whoop section at first. Then decided to make it to second road cross to be picked up. Well driving those few miles destroyed rim and tore brake line. Ran out of spare tires.



This video just needs final editing and audio and will be done. Got great on board footage and from outside of truck.

Next was the 2013 SNORE Awards Banquet in Las Vegas, NV. I knew I had the class 7 championship and 8th overall once points were released. What I did not know and found out just days before the event was that I was getting the Rookie of the Year award. It was a great honor and an amazing banquet. Wish I could of stayed for the after party. My goal for 2014 is top 3 overall. Think it is possible even in a small entry class if you can get those finishing points every race.

As of today the 2013 KMR Season Recap video is online. Spent a week working on this video, lots of time into it. Recaps all 7 races and 3 events and has the lost Mint 400 footage from the rear camera. First time I have released it, you can see it in this video. Enjoy has some of the best footage from the 4 races I have not yet made a video from.

Extremely Awesome Rig. Looks like you've been doing some real work in that thing. Would love to get into this myself someday. Makes me wish we had a desert over here!
