Re: Caitlin: the '03 EDGE
Gotta love my cousin, he fixed my girl up good in his shop, fluid change on everything, replaced all worn parts (with the exclusion of my shackles and hubs) and put new seals in my transmission and diff!
I just asked him to replace my slave cylinder!
But the Nissan lover did all this, plus making her name ring true! How?

Re: Caitlin: the '03 EDGE
Not much of an update, but I have begun my all LED interior.
My cluster, glovebox, and HVAC are all LED, next up is the headlight switch, then the dome, then the airbag light, and finally my two fog light buttons (which I still need to add the second).
Today, I added some decals that I am playing around with...
Turning Jeep to Ford:

And making my knob look pretty but crappy at the same time:

Re: Caitlin: the '03 EDGE
So my plans to get FX4 LII hooks fell through when the seller backstabbed me... so I came up with a new plan.
I am going to take the money I had saved for them and build a front (and maybe rear) bumper with help from friends.
I plan to do this in July or August but we'll see how things play out.
As for the style, at first I was thinking tubes for each, but they don't look as durable or as cool as solid steel ones, so that'll be the route I take. If you have a bumper with something you like (like special hooks or lights etc...) please share!

Re: Caitlin: the '03 EDGE
Christmas has been good!
Got some 06+ corners that'll go on (along with the blinker mod)
Got new tools to work on her with
A new phone with a great camera
And new fog lights (that'll go on once I figure out how to get the old ones out without breaking the valance any further)
Stay tuned for pictures ~A week or so from now

I got new fogs for Christmas and they are much needed as my passenger light was "knocked out when I hit a deer" according to the P.O. even though the only damage to the valance is that and scrapes from his self mounted light bar (which he removed) and my drivers light is filled with water.
I took it off to quickly swap them out (and bolts to stainless to decrease rust) but found this greeting me:
The fogs are completely rusted on and when I tried to remove one of the bolts (wd40, and 2 wrenches to keep everything steady) I ripped the hole out completely so now I am trying different methods hoping something works... I want my valance back!

Re: Caitlin: the '03 EDGE
Four days. That's all it took for the new light to burn out. Now I have to take my light out all over again.
On a better note, Damn does she look good!

Re: Caitlin: the '03 EDGE
Long story short, a car on the highway blew a tire and it shot into me and my truck at about 75mph... If I had my bumper on there would be much more damage but I lost steering over 30-40ish mph so I took her into a shop and got a minivan

It is like those videos online where a tire comes off and heads straight for the person with a camera. I knew it was going to happen and was slamming on the brakes (person tailgating me was pissed... His fault) and the guy kept driving, but turned his hazards on.
Anyways, just got her back and all I needed was some weight added to my front tires. Rides like a... Well, like a truck!
