Default Axel Boy's Truck 2.0

Starting a new thread for my "Proper" mods. No more bs mods. Go big or go home.

But let's recap on the truck itself as many of you and I myself have forgotten what ALL I have done to it.

It's a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 4.0 SOHC. It started out as a regular bed green ranger. It was rolled with 10,000 miles on. My uncle picked it up and fixed it up. Now it's a silver Stepside bed ranger.

Mods I have done to it in no particular order:
Rims.
Grill Guard
CAI
Roof basket
Led bars
Running boards
Tonneau cover
Hids
Headlight mod
Tinted corners
06 mirrors, badges & tail lights (corners will come with time)
Jump seat delete mod
Subs, speakers and a new head unit.
Center console mod.
Tinted windows
Throttle cable mod
Turn signal mod
EZ drain oil plug
2013 super duty 3rd brake light with all led lights
Off-road package
Ford SVT front skid plate
New tires
Repainted exterior trim
Bigger alternator and battery
I'll add more as I remember ALL of it lol.

Currently in the process of a 3" body lift.

Future plans:
Headache rack
4" suspension lift
33" tires
Projector headlights
Led tail lights
Custom front & rear bumper
Frame hiders
Gap Guards
Rhino line the bed
Black leather seats.
Bucket seat mod.
Headunit mod
Led EVERYTHING
New carpet.
Black out all interior panels.
Rear dif locker.
I'll add more as I decide to want more.

I called it a night. All the bolt except one came out easy. Ended up grinding one off. The bed is done. Did it at home. The rest will be done tomorrow at the shop. It looks goofy right now. But I'm VERY happy with how the bed sits. Can't wait for it to be Finished!

maybe an hour. With a smoke break and 15 minute searching for a grinder. And taking ALL the crap out of my bed.

I was thinking about doing it, probably won't. The kit is so damn cheap but I don't need it.

I'm impressed with how great the kit is. They even include lock tight! ---------- Does anybody know the foot pounds of torque at which the bed bolts should be tightened to?

Don't forget to raise your bumper and modify your hitch. If you do the body lift right then it will look good but if not then it looks like shit.

Reading my post in Morgan Freeman's voice is the best way to stay serious.

the kit came with brackets. And have a 4" gap between the tailgate and bumper looks hideous. It'll be done tomorrow. The hitch I'll have to figure out how to modify.

P.S. The morgan freeman voice thing works lol
