Getting the bed off alone was a pain.

Added tube couplers, now the bedcage is bolt in and will make changing a fuel pump alot easier. Went over some of the areas marshall wasnt able to get to when he built this bedcage.

Busted out the rear crossmember and boxed the frame this weekend. Some of the best "fab work" ive done yet, i love how it came out.

Capped the ends

Added a couple gussets, more to follow. Along with another crossmember to be added for the evap canister, then tying them together and adding a hitch for the future rear bumper. I trust the welds but want a few more frame tie ins so i dont have to worry about losing my little jeep trailer.

Slow and steady progress, my welds are getting better.

Been waiting on motor parts so I've been doing a few odds and ends to stay busy. Decided a tube crossmember would look cleaner than bolting a strap to the frame and lower shock bolt.

Way overkill but its been fun to make

Then spent most of tonight putting the 4.0 back together. Got the oil pump replaced, oil pan sealed up, water pump in, intake cleaned, motor mounts bolted on, and started painting the last few top end parts.

Its a Lincoln 180hd, 220v mig. I forgot i left the voltage down so those welds pictured are a tad cold but will be fine for just limit straps.

Ended up not using 2in for most of the crossmember, so I sleeved 1.5in tube into the shackle hangers.

Also went with tube tabs instead of link tabs.

Cycled the rear end, kinda. Its strapped but not bumped.

Found out that my shocks weren't able to pivot enough and were limiting my downtravel, also stressing the top cap. So the mounts got clearanced.

Made my last crossmember for the back, put a notch in it to keep the charcoal canister in the stock location.

Dash is almost complete, junkyard trip in the morning.

Found a harness that i hope to use, its an automatic harness so i think ill need to run the trans range selector for a while till i set it up properly for a manual, im just getting into it so we'll see what happens.
