Gosh you must live in Texas cause that's far. Haha I think it'll be pretty awesome. BTF's shop is in Upland, CA I believe and I don't live very far from there. As well as McQueen. If you have any questions about the area just give me a PM and I'll be happy to help. I know southern CA like the back of my hand.

Re: Blue Edge BTF build
Small update, I ordered 06+ side mirrors today. Found the powered ones with the primed caps ready for paint. Just adding to the pile of parts waiting to be installed when I get home.

Thank you Sir, and yes I am excited as well. I've been waiting for this phase of the project for a long time.

So how does that work without a head unit?

The head unit is behind the tablet. A few of the new Sony radios have a feature called app remote where the tablet will control the radio via Bluetooth. I also ran the USB to the radio to keep it charged.

Re: Blue Edge BTF build
Small update, just got my 06+ mirrors in and painted already. My trip to California was delayed more so its looking like 2 weeks from this upcoming Monday. Also decided to go with the 7 inch glass after talking to McQueen and the guys at btf.

Re: Blue Edge BTF build
I wanted to get rid of the sliding rear glass and I got lucky when I found a replacement already tented for 25 bucks. I also have committed to doing a 2008-2011 door panel swap. I just ordered all the parts through the dealership today and should be here in a week. I might be able to tackle this before the drive out to Cali.

Re: Blue Edge BTF build
Well the trip to California was successful. The spindles from BTF weren't done yet but he is shipping those to me for free. Choosing both BTF and McQueen fiberglass was the best decision for this build. The price was great, a solid product and customer service that I know for a fact cant be beat. These 2 small businesses were great to me, I would highly recommend them to anyone.
