From what I saw on the "OHC- How to install" he tapped into the power and accessory from the radio. My wires are just long enough for that, but It doesn't work.

There are 5 wires:
I tapped the "constant hot 12v" from the mirror to the radio.
I did "12v accessory" from the mirror and tapped the radio.
Ground which I tapped into the radio as well.
And then two wires for the temp sensor outside the truck.

Except this blew my fuse for the radio. Anyone know where I can get my 12v constant and accessory by itself with a fuse? I'll start a thread with this too.
Did you ever get this sorted out? I've always wanted to do the explorer ohc, never thought about the fancy mirror hah

No I didn't.. I think the mirror has a slightly different mount to the windshield as well. I just can NOT for the life of me figure out the wiring. I posted a thread but got no replies. I just don't feel all too comfortable with cutting into my headliner. The mirror does the exact same thing so why not.

I'd have to pull my radio bezel apart, to see exactly how I wired my OHC and mirror.

So excited!!! I found a set of 4 BFG All Terrains on Craigslist for 250. 31x10.5x15
Gonna check them out tomorrow and make sure they're good, if so, I will mount and balance and be a happy Ranger driver.

Alright so the set I saw on Craigslist was legit and the tires look good! A little aged but they're better than what I have. For such a good deal I'm gonna really enjoy them. Anxiously waiting for mount and balance right now!

Nice! I kinda wish I'd gone with 31's but our 2.3's aren't very powerful haha, what gear ratio do you got?

I have a 4.10 open. I think the RPMs are pretty good. With the old 225/70/15 my normal driving was between 2-3k RPMs, now I can cruise at 50mph at like 1500. It's pretty sweet. It started raining today and even with half tread, they're planted.

I'll upload some pics to photobucket in a few minutes.

Okay so I got some pics uploaded to Photobucket and i can put up pics of the BFG's I got earlier this morning.
So i bought them off some guy for $240, then took it to some little shop by my house and they balanced + mounted for 60 bucks. Im pretty sure they did a half-ass job on the balance cause they are definitely NOT balanced. I have to use two hands at 65+ mph. They humm a little bit while driving but not too loud, just about as loud as the A/C. Im just glad my truck is starting to look more like a real truck.

This is a better quality pic of the one i posted off the app:

Heres a link to TRS on the gear ratios, it may help.
http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...irechart.shtml
In reality the gear ratio change is very minimal, and i didnt notice a change in power. After this set goes bald, ill definitely invest in the KO2's. They shouldnt be on back-order by then.

That being said, ill give up my previous All-season tires. Theyre pretty damn good tires. they work pretty well in about 4 inches of snow and theyre actually really good in mud. ive been stuck in powdery dirt but never in mud. if it would be better, I can split up all 5 so those of you with little donut-bias tires can actually have a full size spare.

If you only want one it should be about $40 shipped. Ill double check with UPS/Fedex if people actually want them. Im positive you rednecks do not actually want them to put on your truck.
Here they are, i had the whitewalls out so i took pretty good care of them, except the front right has some curb rash on the letters (so maybe i didnt)
- One has a plug, i dont know which one.
- One has a gash in the tread going all the way around, dont ask how i did it. its not very deep and it should go away with wear.
- The last 3 are in pretty good shape, theyre a bit newer (9-2014)
- The first two are from 2-2014
- The 4 that were on my truck have about 8/32 and the spare has only a couple hundred miles on it. No cracking, but it is covered in mud.
Ill scrub the tires really good and wax them, and plastic wrap the hell out of them when i ship.

Heres the (F-R) tire with the curb rash.

The two back ones look just like this, a little over-inflation but theyre the best looking.

Curb-Rash tread (F-L)

Another Rear

The one with the gash (F-R) Dont ask.

And heres more unnecessary pics.

225/70/15 = 27.4"x8.86"x15"
Let me know what you guys think!

That looks great with the new tires! I don't know how I missed your thread but I love seeing the base models done up. I even really like the rims you have, I wouldn't get rid of those! I remember reading that you wanted new rims, but if you're really looking for more stance maybe throw on a set of wheel spacers and call it a day? I know that once I got the 31s on my truck I was craving some offset, but spacers took care of that. I like that your wheels have a nice lip to them, really makes the tires stand out!

As for your old tires, don't you think it would be easier to sell them locally?

I'll be sure to follow this thread!

Yeah I was gonna get the rims, they're cheaper than the tires were.
Pro comp steelies were $225 shipped and the BFG's ended up costing $300. I got curious and started looking on C-list. I ditched the idea and now I think I'm gonna keep the rims. I want it to be a bit wider but a little height addition first. Maybe after I get a little lift I'll get new rims. I don't want my truck to be un-proportional. I think it looks funny.

As for my Primewells, I didn't feel like anybody would want them... They're POS's... Lol unless I throw a rim on them too?
