Yeah I know what you mean, the transmission is definitely a priority over any of that. If you get it flushed then you'd be much surprised. I was having some pretty bad flares between all my gears and it was getting worse and worse, so I thought I had a problem with it, I had Firestone do a whole system flush and it shifts beautifully! No slipping at all! Luckily with my truck all my issues have been easy fixes.
For the headlights you could just buy any Sylvania's from Walmart or Autozone, nothing special if you want them bright but not go all out with HID's and all that crap. I think they're like $9 each.

Walmart sells led bulbs made by pilot automotive and they are a 3157. I replaced my old reverse lights with those and its a hell of a difference. They were like 15 bucks or so. Well worth it.

I took your advice and put in the LEDs - here's a junky pic:
I can actually see all the way down my driveway now! ...though I'm probably blinding the neighbors...

I'm going to wait til I get new headlight housings before I bother with any new bulbs or HIDs or whatever. I can see fine with how they are now.
Thanks for the help guys.
All I'm waiting on now is new corners in the mail and a sunny day to actually clean my truck and put down the bed cap weatherproofing I picked up the other day. I might even get a little painting/dipping done soon...

Nice! And I know there's such a difference with those LEDs compared to the incandescent bulbs. Not bad for $15 bucks either right?

Re: 2003 Edge 4x4
The reverse LEDs are fantastic. I got my new corners in the mail today and put them in immediately.
My old passenger-side one was cracked so I glued it up to protect the new bulbs while I was waiting for the new housings in the mail. Before and after:
Glad I got a set cuz it's a completely different orange. They make my headlights look like crap so I guess that's next on the list.
I'm thinking blacked out housings?

Re: 2003 Edge 4x4
Been inactive for a little bit now while I've been job-hunting but I did get my oil changed about a week ago and my a/c went out just in time for summer so I went to get my freon recharged and found out it the problem was more severe than I thought. Thankfully, the guys at Jiffy Lube didn't charge me for the test and refill. Took it to Christian Bros and paid almost $900 for a new compressor and dryer kit. So there goes my funding for any projects in the near future.
I bought a few cans of dip and some weatherproof strips before all this went down so I may get around to weatherproofing and dipping my bed shell (and maybe wheels) this week now that the weather is okay. Just something to do while I try to save up again for other goodies.
On another note, I got a quote from the owner of a local motorsports mechanic who will level and align me for $70 - cheaper than my previous quote for just the alignment. This is assuming my tbars aren't already cranked by the previous owner from any sagging issues...
Keepin my fingers crossed that I can actually afford make some progress on my camping setup in my bed for some trips this summer. I gotta get out of the city.

Re: 2003 Edge 4x4
Yesterday I added blind spot mirrors (worth every penny but not worth a photo). Today I did the throttle cable mod (only one zip, though I could have done two) and I can really tell the difference! I can't believe I didn't do it sooner.
I also ripped some stumps out of my yard which was easy work for the truck in 4-low. The last one - which was the smallest - is pictured below with the other two in the bed.
Figured I might as well take a shot of my truck while I had her in the yard and the lighting was nice too.
