What kinda mpg do you get with the 31's? 4:10 gears?

Im not sure what gears but stock 5 spd gears. Ive only had the truck for about a month in a half and done mostly city driving with many 10 minute warmups in the cold, but highway MPG seems close to stock, around town may be a bit more getting the 31s moving every time but the truck drives very nicely and isnt a pig or anything.

Ordered some 1.25 and 1.5" wheel spacers for this thing. Hopefully they will add a bit of balls to the look without being overkill.

You check the gear ratio by checking the code on the inside of your door, would you ever consider lifting the truck? Even just like 2" like I'm doing?

I havent checked the gears yet but they are the normal stock 5 spd gears. I would consider a lift but unless I go with spindles and shackles, I dont see any other good options. What kind of lift are you considering, a BL? Im hoping the wheel spacers will give the truck enough of a nice stance for me to be satisfied for a while.

Coil spacers and shackles, just 2" so my 30's don't look small

I considered coil spacers (had em on my old jeep) but I read that they are a pain in the ass on the Ranger in terms of keeping the front end aligned. If I do lift, I would consider them, would just like to hear some good things about them first!

I have them. Camber isn't terrible. My "liberal" (as the guy said The estimate was figuring everything went wrong) estimate was $360 to have it fixed. Ouuuuuch

My truck drives like a dream compared to other vehicles that I have had - I dont want to start having alignment issues, so I probably won't lift it although it always does tempt me. Im trying not to spend too much either, but we all know how that goes haha.

Nice looking truck!

If you're looking for some more stock-looking mods, the Explorer OHC, Mustang dome light, and cargo light mods are great. You would have to run some wires but there are complete guides in the how-to section of this forum for all 3 of them. The OHC is a bit of a pain but the other 2 are easy. If you want a more stock-looking dome light than the Mustang light but with the same functionality, you can use a dome light from a (I think) '93 to '03 Ranger. It won't look out of place in a newer Ranger. If you can find the parts at a junkyard, they're all very cheap too.

Thanks for the compliments and ideas!

As for lighting, I like the OEM light in my '09. It is very bright and I probably won't change it. I like your truck a lot! I had similar wheels on my old S10 and regret not getting a set for the Ranger. Are those 31s you're running? Looks great either way.

I like your old s10 too. I came very close to buying an 02 s10 before I found my Ranger.

It was a great truck but the Ranger is a 9 year newer, more reliable cleaner version where I got to start a fresh. I plan on keeping it as clean as possible and driving it a very long time.

Thanks! They're 32x11.5. They rub slightly at times but nothing serious. I did crank my torsion bars to lift up the front end a bit. 1" seemed to be the sweet spot. It actually improved the ride but going higher than that started to make it ride rough.

I really like the wheels you have. The problem with mine is that there's no paint to protect them from the mag chloride they use here in the winter. If I'd known what a pain they are to keep clean I would have had them clear coated before I put them on.

Yeah I don't regret choosing the Ranger. It's been a great truck
