Looks like the point of contact was the wheel. What kind of car hit him?

Yeah, it looks like either the wheel or right behind it to us... it was a mid 00's Jeep, and it got completely totaled - blew out all the windows, diff fell out, tranny lost its linkage... We got off easy, and everyone walked away.

I feel like I update this thread with more bad news than good news...

I had a perfect bed lined up as a replacement - a 2004 FX4 L II - with no damage or rust whatsoever for $500, all we had to do was pick it up. The owner told us we could pick it up this weekend as he and I were both busy with school before then.

Well, he sold it. I shouldn't really say sold... more like gave it away. And was still planning on me buying it (What???) so when I asked when I could pick it up this weekend, he casually mentioned it was gone. Then why waste both of our time, and why break a promise?

So if anyone in Michigan (or Northern Indiana) has a black bed in great shape (Styleside) I'll take it off your hands! :P

An EDGE XLT 2x4 with coils? Why not?

Who cares as long as we have a mostly rust free bed!

Looks good in person too! Pics tomorrow, and a birthday present that'll be put on in 2 months! (that shall be secret unless there are pms sent to me as my dad could find this and know. That wouldn't be a fun present now would it?)

This was in the bag! Penguin is on his way to having 04-05 fog lights! Just need the lights and wiring!

My dad just put his seats in today, from the picture he sent me, they look good! Now we just need to get rid of the airbag light.
