Nicks 5.0 ranger build
I I think it's a good time to start a build thread because the v8 swap may actually happen
Alright so I have landed me a good old exploder for a hefty $400 my ranger is a rwd standard cab
Things won't be happening very fast because of school and money so yha... but umm I thought starting a thread I could get even more advice from pelople as I go along the ropes of this project... Btw this is the exploder👇👇

Well an update the explorer is mostly apart, I spent the last two weeks tearing it up and just this past Sunday the 5.0 was separated from da płōręr and is now resting in my garage. I have acquired the correct mounts last week and the Evtms are on their way. My spring break dosent start till the 27th so I may not get much done between now and then but I would like to have the motor torn down and off to the machine shop before that but as always school has to come first. Still have to grab the axel before I scrapp the płōręr so the plan continues...

I have a question to anyone who has done the explorer axel swap.... What did you get for shock mounts, did you convert to the explorer style or did you just buy or cut the same type of mount off and weld it to the ranger location?

Well since nobody could help I decided to go ahead and just mount the axel into the ranger with no shocks for the time being future tips for pelople who also do this... If you have any lift in the rear your going to need a custom line or line extension made for the brakes my line was 2 inches two short so take that into account

I also ordered some universal shock mounts that I can modify to put on to the axel, one can hopefully be bolted to the old swaybar mount and the other one may need to be welded.
