Default Shawn's 4.0 4WD

It's a 2000 Ford Ranger 4WD 4.0 with 136,000 miles

Ok I've only made this thread to see how far this truck will go. As some of you guys know I have the 3.0 2WD.

This truck started it's life with an old man who of course smoked cigars he then traded it in after 120,000 miles. My sister the second owner who got it when she rolled her Chevy caviler going up hill. She then drove it till my step dad changed the caliper and it wouldn't bleed. She went and got a jeep and gave me the mess. After sitting for 7-8 month and new wheel cylinders and a master cylinder it is finally fixed.

Some pictures of it from the summer.

Some pictures of it today.

----------

Today I had to change the alternator on the side of the road because the guy at auto zone said it was good. So it's got a new alternator. And I am not listening to the guys at auto zone anymore.

Ok the ranger has a 1C spring code which means I have the best torsion bars but I'm in the middle on leaf packs but I'm totally fine with that.

3 is the leaf spring pack with the heaviest haul weight. Tow package usually, common with #1 T-bars.

I looked at the tag It said 1C but I never haul anything heavy. Biggest thing I have hauled was 2 quads in the bed and that was with a 3.0 2WD. So these should do for my needs especially coming from a 3.0.

I could be wrong, I am just reading it elsewhere. I will see if I can find something more definitive on it.

I've seen that rwenzing (bob) quotes C as being heaviest. Man this is just all over the board, though, bob is right nearly 100% of the time.

So I take it I have the best leaf pack for my truck year? Because this rides so much better than my 3.0 did

Well I haven't done anything to the truck do to the bone chilling cold.. it's been a high of 10 and a low of -15 the past few days. So I have thought about what I want to bring from the old truck to the new. So far it will be the light bar pods and hitch and cap. But this time I am mounting the bar on top of the bumper instead of on the front.

Got a hold of OHV lights and they are sending me a new harness since my other one quit working. So them and the new pod mounts and hopefully stickers are on there way from them. So now I'm stuck between 06+ tails and or 06+ mirrors. But I also want to swap every bulb over into LED so I may get a hold of bugman for some LEDs. But I am starting body work when it's warm enough to be outside.

A heat wave at 17 degrees I took the light bar off the 3.0 and brought it in to get ready to mount on the truck here soon.

Pulled the truck in and changed out the sway bar link on the passenger side.
