Re: jimmyspy's '02 4x4
Went to the junkyard today to pick up a set of expo springs. Ended up paying 35 bucks a piece. Also scored a dark grey OHC with the temp sensor for 15 bucks!

No, a guy at a local spring shop said he'd make me a new set for 10 bucks a pop, so I went that route.

A little more expensive but worth it. New and dependable.

If you don't mind me asking, what'd you make that switch panel out of? I ran my switch for my LED lightbar there as well and haven't quite figured out the best way to mount the switch yet.

Well, I actually used a plastic take out container... Lol. I cut two 1-1 1/2" strips out of the bottom of it and cut a hole in one for the switch. I then used some sheet metal screws I had laying around to mount the strips to the spacer under my head unit. I'm pretty happy with how it came out, and it makes it better that it didn't cost a dime. Haha

Finished up the expo leaf swap today. Big improvement over the stock springs. Rides a little better, and feels more stable. Got a ton more lift than I expected. Before the swap I was sitting pretty level, now, after swapping the leafs, removing the blocks, and installing 2" lift shackles, the front is 34.5" from the ground to the top of the wheel well an the rear is 38", making about 3.5" of rake. Lol. A tbar crank is definitely in the near future. Haha

Yea, looks like they will settle in a little bit. Put about 25 miles on them and remeasured. Lost about 1/4" on each side in the back, so it's not as bad. Definitely gonna have to bring the front up a little though. I don't mind a little bit of rake, but I can feel this sitting in the seat... Haha

Got a lot of little things done this weekend. Made up a set of mounts and got both cb antennas mounted, changed the oil (was about 500 miles past due), replaced a turn signal bulb, and, probably the most noteworthy, cranked the torsion bars. I ended up getting a little over an inch out of them, may not sound like much, but it made a huge difference. Part of the reason I only got an inch was because the drivers side was over an inch lower than the passengers side (34 1/4" drivers, 35 1/2" pass), so really the drivers side came up nearly 2". After the adjustment, both fronts are at 36 1/4", and the rear is at 37 1/2", making for about 1 1/4" of rake. It looks much better IMO, and the rake isn't nearly as noticeable.
Not the best pics, but here's a few:
