Man you did a great job on the truck. I actually just spent like an hour reading the whole thread. I would pose but one question, and that would be given the pictures and the way it seems you like to offroad why did you do this to a 2wd truck? I'm not judging by any means, I'm just more curios. When the 4.0 is in you'll appreciate it in ways you can't even think of before. I have a 2000 3.0 and a 98 4.0 and the difference is night and day, the poor little 3.0 is a dog in comparison. The 5.0 would be awesome, but Commiefornia is not real kind toward performance enthusiasts. I a friend who moved there with his old chevy which he had put a crate motor in, he had to send the car back to the east coast to his brother as they wouldn't allow him to register it.

When you live in southern California where it's mostly fast and flat desert, there's not really a need for 4x4. A good majority of the stuff out here is 2wd, at least in the desert portion

That's what I was thinking. Living on the east coast we don't have that type of topography.

Thank you for the kind words. Yeah most of the "prerunner" scene is 2wd. Cheaper and easier to get travel numbers out of 2wd than 4wd unless you have 4wd beams.

Welp, time to bump this bad boy. Finally got the truck back last month after a ton of back and forth with computer issues, transmission, wiring and anything else you can think of. Word of advice to anyone doing a swap. Get all the parts from the same vehicle to avoid the headache I went through.

Truck has been professionally tuned and Dyno'd from Steve at Powertrain Dynamics in Huntington Beach. Guy is amazing and honest. Highly recommend. I can't remember the Dyno numbers but will find the paper and post if anyone is interested or even on this site anymore haha.

I don't have any pics yet but can post if anyone wants. I have installed a Wheelskinz leather wrapped steering and Ruff Stuff Optima Battery holder since getting the truck back from the motor swap. I have all the parts for the 08+ interior power window/ lock bezel so that will be next on my list of mods.
