Yeah man, as soon as I get my bumper situation fixed, I'm down. Daily driving, the shocks are butter, but off-road, they're a little soft.

I like it better than my 5.5 but I also had the fabtech kit.

Well, I have good news and bad news. Bad news is, I got my rear shocks and light bar stolen when I dropped off my truck to get painted and some fiberglass work done.

Good news is, the paint and fiberglass look great and the owner didn't charge me and offered to paint my whole truck for free in a couple weeks if I want. Here's a couple pics of the paint/fiberglass.

"Interesting" business model he has....but I guess its a win for you. Assuming your entire truck doesn't get swiped in the meantime! lol

Yea, seems like the guy opened his mouth about the pre-runner truck at his shop, and knows who took the shocks and light bar.

Yeah, I thought that too but stuff was stolen from a co-worker there too. They stole his steering wheel from his Hummer and a battery from a Chevy pickup in the back. I've taken my truck to him before and my sister's car and never had a problem. I think someone saw my shocks from the street cuz the rear was facing it.

Such bullshit either way, I avoid leaving my truck anywhere thats not my house or a close friends house.. people are terrible. I still haven't seen anything and I've been keeping an eye out for you. Where do these people sell the stuff after its stolen? To get decent money for a baja designs OnX bar you need to sell to people that know about lights which isn't your average sketchy dude in an alley. King's are obviously way more common and a commonly stolen item. Makes me want to find some security nuts even though mine is super incognito with the cover on 99% of the time.

By the way, do my eyes deceive me or did you have them fiberglass the bumper to match the fender flare?!? I've been wanting to do that forever much like the tacoma guys do, never seen a ranger with it minus one grey one from years ago.

Yeah agreed. Thanks man. I appreciate you keeping a look out. Even if you find King 2.5 piggybacks, let me know and I'll scope them out and see if they're mine.

Yeah, remember awhile ago I asked if you trimmed your bumper to clear the newer style bumper? Well, once I put the BTF kit on, it rubbed bad. So, what they did was copy the fiberglass flares by the door and duplicated it to the front and then they blended it in top the bumper. Yeah, Fiberwerx only makes the bumper caps for the TT fender flares.

Thanks man. Didn't want to look like all the other ones running around town lol. Thought it would help against theft too but I was wrong lol

Speaking of which, I talked to Baja Designs yesterday, and they have a new hardware kit specifically because they are being stolen. It has a security nut and you have a key to it. The way he explained it on the phone sounded similar to the keys for lug nuts

Its funny, if I wasn't a full time student commuting an hour each way 5 days a week and actually had disposable income i'd be building my truck just like this... only with a camper shell lol. Love what you've done, shares a lot of visions I had for mine. How much did BD say they wanted for the kit? It really should just be included with the purchase.

Yeah, my truck was put on hold during college too lol. I didn't ask about a price. They said they are included now as of a couple months ago. Not sure how much the hardware is by itself.
