Default swapping to a explorer trac cluster

guys i have a 01 3.0 ford ranger. would this be the correct year to do the swap? and how easy is it to do it? i hate the borring black back. please let me know what year I should look for. thks here is a pic

i have one in my 95 and i wouldn't think there would be a year difference. its a plug and play set up for 95 and up. but if you put it in a 95-97 you have to swap out the temp gauges due to the 95-97 having a resistor on the back. the gauge will bounce back and forth.

yes it should be really easy, mine was just unplug and plug in. there was a guy on here that had to change some lights around. mine was a 01-03 ranger into my 98

thanks guys. i also seen white face cluster in the regular explorer also. are the trac and regular explorer white face clusters the same. thanks

I have an 00 3.0 and did the swap from an 01. Just plug and play.

i have a 98 2.5 5 speed and i dont have a tach so how would i get this one to work in my truck

Truck is prewired for a tach. So if you get one with a tach it's just plug and play
