Default JesusFreak_2000RangerXLT Build Thread

So I figured that I would start a build thread since I have already done a bit to the truck and plan on doing more. I don't have a ton of pics of work being done since I am 17 and my dad helps me with most of the work. He is a fast worker and would make fun of me for taking pics while working on the truck.

I bought the truck in June of 2013 with 136,000 miles on it, a miss when the motor was cold, a massive left rear quarter panel dent and tires that needed help.
The truck is a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with the 4.0l V6 and a 4 speed automatic transmission. It has all the interior options, excluding power seats.

Between the time I bought the truck and November, I was very busy. I changed the motor oil, flushed the transmission, replaced the pinion seal that was leaking, filled a crack on the windshield, changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil pack (because of another horrific miss), got a set of 265/75R Discoverer Cooper A/ts with the truck, and deep cleaned the interior.

I was also able to buy a pioneer stereo that had bluetooth and my Westin Ultimate Bull Bar, which STILL is waiting for the free driving lights.

For Christmas I a set of TYC headlights and Platinum Plus Foglights.

I then was so glad when I got the money to buy an SI/SO MBRP Catback Exhaust, which of course I don't have any picks of the install. But I do have a video and a couple of pics.
The ingenuous part occurred when my dad and I realized that the MBRP on the muffler was facing away from us after the whole system was snug.

After not modding the truck while we had a month of super small snow storms, I had to get my windshield replaced as a result of getting a large spider crack. Thanks to All Star Glass for such a great job.

After the snow passed I almost rear ended another car when my truck took forever to stop. This resulted in having to replace the front brake pads, rotors, and shoes for the rear drums.

Here are some random pictures of the truck as it sits.

I plan on keeping my build up to date and here are a list of mods that I plan on doing this year.

TBar Crank and 2 inch shackles
Maybe a bodylift and 285s???
06+ power mirrors with chrome caps
Passenger and driver front window tint (Done)
New tailight lens to replace the old ones
Paint or plasti dip the inside of grill, fender flares, mudflaps, hitch receiver, rear bumper, front valence.
Paint the grill and tailgate emblems
Vent Visors
Throttle cable mod

All questions, comments, ideas, critiques, etc.... are welcome!

Thank you. I first saw the roof lights on 2000rangermg's truck and immediately knew I had to get some. I am gonna get the ones with the amber lens instead of the smoked though.

Looks good. Don't feel to bad about the dent in the l/s rear, here is a pic of my 2000 Ranger when I got it last Oct. Look at the dent in the lower l/s rear of mine, now that is a dent.

Yeah, you gotta love having a truck. I am well past the dent and having a fairly scratched up body. Gotta remember that it is 14 years old.

Your truck is very similar to anythingcanhappen's truck. He even has the 06 chrome mirrors you want.

Hahaha! The only thing is his seems to be way cleaner and has the V8. I thought that at first too, but I would never compare to that thing.

Okay, so I went into DIY today to snag a thing of purple spray paint for my emblems, and this sweet old lady who was going to check me out would not let me buy the paint since I'm not 18. It was so funny, she looked totally worried and seemed bummed that I couldn't buy the paint. I guess I gotta tomorrow with my dad.
