Well where do I start. It's a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 Extended Cab. 4.0 SOHC V6. Full syntheitc. Its got the offroad package and tow package. I got it with 74k miles on it, it currently has 77k on it.
Its rolling on a set of Yokohama Geolander ATs. 245/75/R16. Great tire for offroad/mud/snow/ice/wet conditions.

Ive added a little chrome so far, a Deezee Bull bar, roof bar with 2 55 watt halogen lights. 3 foot CB Antenna.

Ive got a redneck tonneau cover for right now. Its 3/4 OSB with 2x4 bracing underneath thats strapped down. Just to keep snow out till i get a real one.

MBRP is the bomb bro. My buddy use to have one on his ranger and it sounded amazing! Plus taking out the CAT will ruin your computer. Your computer is meant to run WITH your cat. To be honest dude, it sounds like crap without that CAT.

Or you got another option. You could also put a super 10 flowmaster muffler! Sounds very similar to a V8 without compromising anything!

Youll never get v8 sound with a v6. You can get close though. Glasspack wont get what youre looking for. Listen to this, its the closest you'll get to a v8 with a v6 ranger:

Lose every time. Wait'll you hit the age that starts with a 2.....you'll realize just how annoying it is.


Flowmaster Super 44 with 2.5" duals out the back is the deepest, beefiest, loudest but livable setup I've ran on the SOHC. And I've ran 6 or 7 different mufflers on it.
